Owner, Alyssa Cantisani, bought Tacos and Cones in Pawling, New York in November of 2020 in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. Previously, she had worked at King Kone in Somers, NY for nine summers. It was her first job at 15 and she spent each summer there until she was 24.

She studied at West Virginia University for four years where she received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and spent another two years at the University of Connecticut where she earned her Masters in Sport Management. Following graduation from Connecticut in 2019 she worked for the University of Connecticut’s athletic department along with the Springfield Thunderbirds of the American Hockey League’s media department. However, she found herself back at King Kone every chance she had.

After nine years of learning the ins and outs of what it takes to run a successful ice cream business, she decided it was time to use that knowledge to bring a new “twist” to a quaint, charming town. The excitement and the rush that come with working in the restaurant industry were things she knew she wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. Now, she’s ready to create something of her own in the town of Pawling.
